Developing Sustainability
Sustainability is a key concern for third sector organisations and social enterprises. Numerous challenges face the sector, both within their own structure and how they interact in the wider environment Sustainability is also about how to expand, scale and develop what organisations are doing
This programmes explores these themes, looking at what is already working, how to sustain this and identifying what needs to change and how to make this happen.
Who is it for?
This a six day programme for Social Enterprises and Not For Profit organisations to examine and develop their organisational and financial sustainability.
Programme Details
Starting in March 2025
2 days a month for 3 months
Delivery Method: This programme will be delivered in-person. In-person sessions will take place in various locations to support local place based organisations by utilising their facilities.Alongside the 6 facilitated sessions and there will be some self-directed learning and reflection activities.
In between modules, you are encouraged and supported to put your learning into practice.
Timing: 10am - 4pm
Cost: Fully Funded by the Poscode Lottery Trust
- Review your organisation’s operational and financial sustainability
- Evaluate your assets and their fit with the needs of customers and beneficiaries
- Explore the concept of an Enterprising Mind-set
- Reflect on your organisational structure
- Experience Design Thinking and how this might be applied to building your sustainability
- Explore partnership working as a route to increasing social impact and income generation
- Participants have the opportunity to complete a 10-credit SCQF level 9 Social Enterprise Academy Developing Sustainability qualification that is credit rated by Glasgow Caledonian University, at an additional cost of £120
