Facilitation skills programme for SFA Staff. 2 of them will co-deliver the Developing your Community Club programme with James Hilder in 2023 and will shadow him on the Developing your Community Club programme - starting in September 2022.
Outcomes:
- Understand the key principles that underpin Academy facilitation – Kolb’s Learning Cycle, peer-led, non-directive and asset-based learning
- Utilise facilitation and coaching techniques to support group and individual growth
- Gain an in-depth insight into key elements of social enterprise that are relevant to the Developing Your Community Club
- Programme in order to be able to lead sessions and answer questions/offer advice and signpost within the social enterprise eco-system (innovative finance models, the triple bottom line, values-led decision making, community engagement, business model canvas, social impact measurement)
- Gain confidence to lead and co-facilitate sessions for community club leaders, adapting to the different group dynamics, personalities and situations
- Develop a shared understanding of what makes effective facilitation and have ample time to practice and hone their facilitation skills in a safe environment with their peers.
