A Stepping Stone Into Your World of Work
This programme will help people, who are currently not in work, take a positive step towards a job ‘with a purpose’. Helping to make a real difference to people within your community.
Wide Horizons is a flexible programme that challenges you to think differently about yourself. The programme will help to build your confidence in working with others and will involve visits to different social enterprises (ethical businesses that exist to create positive social and/or environmental change).
Above all, you will meet new people, make new friends and enjoy finding out about different workplaces and types of jobs available.
During this programme, you will:
- Discover
your own strengths and skills
- Visit local social
enterprises
- Find
out about employment options which can create fairer communities
- Participate in
team-building activities and gain an internationally recognised teamwork
qualification for your CV
- Identify
your dreams and what you are passionate about
- Receive 1-2-1 mentoring to
help you design a personalised job seeking action plan
Who is it for?
Applicants must be aged 16+, not in work and based in Moray.

Where: Throughout Moray
Cost: Fully funded by Moray Pathways
Attendance: Four day Wide Horizons programme. You will be also be invited to visit social enterprise workplaces and have access to support from an experienced mentor.
Accreditation: You can achieve a qualification in ‘Team Working Skills’. No previous qualifications are needed.
