Your programme offers the opportunity to complete a micro-credential qualification in Developing a Coaching Culture. This is a 10-credit SCQF Level 9 qualification that is credit rated by Glasgow Caledonian University.
The qualification introduces learners to coaching approaches and techniques with the aim of supporting individuals and organisations to achieve their goals. Learners will evaluate coaching skills and competencies, utilising a range of coaching and leadership tools in their practice. As well as considering the direct impact of coaching on participants, the programme also explores strategies for embedding a coaching culture across an organisation, identifying potential barriers and benefits.
On completion of the SEA Coaching qualification, you should be able to:
- Identify, evaluate, and demonstrate the application of, a range of key coaching skills
Plan, conduct, and reflect on a series of coaching sessions
- Evaluate how the culture and systems within an organisation impact on the adoption of coaching practices
Propose a strategy for embedding a coaching culture within an organisation

How to Register for the Developing a Coaching Culture Qualification
If the qualification is an optional part of your programme, you will need to register. You should do this by the final day of your programme using the registration link on your programme page. You will be asked to provide a programme code, this can also be found on your programme page.
The fee arrangements for the qualification are on the programme page or will be confirmed by your programme coordinator. If you are paying the fee yourself, you will be directed to Paypal at the point of registration, however you do not need a Paypal account in order to make the payment and complete registration.

Assessment Overview
In order to gain the Social Enterprise Academy qualification in Developing a Coaching Culture, you will complete a two part assessment that connects your learning on the programme with your practice. The assignment includes is a Coaching Practice Portfolio and Coaching Implementation Plan. The assignment requires you to plan, engage in, and reflect on coaching practice, before going on to recommend how a coaching approach can be embedded across your organisation.
You are required to submit your assignment within three calendar months of the final day of your programme. You have a maximum of three supported attempts to pass the assignment and are required to pass every Assessment Criteria for all Learning Outcomes. For further detail on how your assignment will be assessed, please see the assessment and feedback form provided.
The emphasis of this assignment is on practical application and showing how you have put the key learning from your programme into practice. Full assessment guidance is provided below.

It is essential that you read through this Assessment & Feedback form, as it clearly outlines the requirements for all assessment criteria and provides pass and referral indicators for each one.
Feedback
The assessment/grading process for a cohort is comprehensive and takes a minimum of 4 weeks from the stated submission date, including marking and internal quality assurance checks. We aim to return your feedback within a maximum of one calendar month, however in some circumstances and at certain times of the year, it can take longer. If you have not received your feedback within 6 weeks of the submission date, which can be found on your programme page, please contact learnersupport@socialenterprise.academy

Additional Learning Support
The Academy aims to create a safe learning environment, respond to your learning needs, and ensure your learning experience is transformational. If you are experiencing any difficulties, please to speak to the programme facilitator or co-ordinator at any time during your programme.
Our main aim is to support all learners to successfully complete the qualification. If you have any learning support needs or requirements in relation to your assessment, please contact learnersupport@socialenterprise.academy and the Academy’s Qualifications and Quality Assurance Manager will ensure an Individual Learning Plan is put in place to support you. Any support needs will be assessed on an individual basis, in line with the Academy's Access & Support Policy.
PLEASE NOTE: These are nationally recognised, accredited qualifications and the Academy cannot pre-assess or feedback on assignment drafts.
Anyone completing the qualification is expected to attend at least 80% of the programme. The Academy cannot support completion of the assessment if you have not regularly attended the associated programme, because you will not have covered enough of the required content. If there are extenuating circumstances please contact us to discuss this at the earliest opportunity.
As an additional level of support, we will also schedule regular assessment Q&A 'drop ins' - dates will be added to this page as sessions are scheduled. The open Q&A's are with the Qualifications and Quality Assurance Manager, and will provide an opportunity for any learner completing a qualification with us to ask general questions about requirements, the assessment process, submission arrangements, and support available etc. You can however, have these questions answered via learnersupport@socialenterprise.academy out with any scheduled session times.
Learner Support drop-in sessions will be offered twice a month, and will take place on the second Thursday and the fourth Tuesday of each month on Teams. Please find attached the list of dates and access details within the guidance document.

Submitting Your Assignment
Please submit your assignment by the deadline given on your programme page - this is usually 3 calendar months from the last day of your programme, unless otherwise stated.
Your programme page also includes a 'Click here to SUBMIT ASSESSMENT' link. Submission will open one week before your submission date - click on the link and follow the instructions provided.
Before submitting, please ensure:
- Your full name, the programme title, and the submission date, are stated on each document
- The titles of the assignments are made clear
- You have followed the full assessment guide and checked your assignment against the assessment and feedback form (both provided above)
- You have read and agree to the terms of SEA's Learner Malpractice Policy (see below)
Please note:
- You cannot upload more than 2 documents
- Documents must be in Microsoft Word or PDF formats
