    Welcome to your Leadership Development Programme!

    The programme will enable you to develop a practical approach to developing your leadership and management skills and to understand the leadership and cultural developments that have occurred at MacTaggart Scott.

    It will give you the opportunity to explore practical skills and tools, to think about how you motivate and engage with others in the business and how you can work together to address challenges and issues. 

    In particular, the programme will support you to:

    • Identify your leadership style and understand how it can impact others
    • Understand your leadership role and how to support the cultural change that is underway at MacTaggart Scott
    • Explore how to create an engaging and respectful working environment drawing on the “Working Together” approach
    • Work even more effectively together and develop a strong and supportive network of peers

  • Day 1 - Leading Myself and Leading Others

    On Days 1, you will:

    • Grow your understanding of your leadership style
    • Explore how to create a MTS culture that engages and motivates all
    • Develop listening & questioning skills and explore how to provide feedback to others


  • Day 2 - Leading Others and Leading Change

    On Days 2, you will:

    • Reflect on how you have applied your learning since Day 1 
    • Practice the GROW coaching model and how to use coaching to create a great working environment
    • Explore how to have effective conversations, developing questioning skills & exploring how to handle difficult conversations
    • Understand the basis of effective team working and practice collaboration


    • Forum

      Here you can share reflections, arrange to meet other members of your group or post useful content. 

      Please note: Please be mindful of the content you post, where possible we encourage you to anonymise any specific references to individuals. Your programme facilitator and the system administrators at the Social Enterprise Academy will have access to this forum and will be able to read your posts.
